Oof, this week I have been sick sick sick :(. And not in the fun, I’m too sick to go to school so curl up in bed way either. I still have to work because there are immovable deadlines, and my sinuses have given me such a headache so I don’t even feel like reading when it’s finally time to rest, ugh! Serves me right for bragging about my “superior immune system” to my boyfriend the last three times he was sick I suppose ;-).
I fortunately still had plenty of driving (fortunately??) and so finished another audiobook! Spirit Singer ended up being a delightful fantasy, though I never did get used to the narrator’s voice. I think I just don’t like male narrators unfortunately :(. I am now even more ridiculously behind on reviews to write *sigh*. And of course my stuffed up head filled with cold medicine doesn’t really want to cooperate either, hehe.
I had run off to the library already to grab a back up audiobook though, so once I finished the last one, I was ready with Catching Fire! I know, I know, I’m so late on this trilogy ;-). I had actually originally decided not to finish the trilogy because of my dislike of love triangles, but I’ve since realized that it’s less of a real love triangle and more of a “this evil president is forcing me to marry this one guy, but I actually like this other guy,” which is hardly the same thing ;-). I’m really liking the dystopian element so far, I just hope that Katniss gets a backbone again soon >.> seriously girl!
Finally, I got to pick a sick book this week, since being sick means you get to read whatever you want right?? Technically I think I grabbed Cinder before symptoms started when I just couldn’t stand studying anymore, but maybe that was the first symptom! >.> <.< Wow, the cold medicine is really hitting my brain isn’t it? Haha. Anyway, loving Cinder, as expected ;-).
