My favorite reading spotHello all, I’m Anya and welcome to On Starships and Dragonwings (OS&D). Here at On Starships and Dragonwings, I review mostly Fantasy and Science Fiction books. I focus on a summary and list style review so that you can find the books you are interested in fast. I try to post at least two reviews a week, as well as other fun posts through out the week. My first posts date back to Nov. 2010!

Oh you want to know about me personally? Well fine then ;-). I’m a graduate student studying Computer Science and Evolutionary Biology at Michigan State University. I got married Oct. 2015 and regularly subject my husband to gushing about books while he makes me bookcases. I grew up in a book-loving household where my dad went to the Harry Potter book release nights when I was too young to go myself just so that I could start the next book immediately in the morning. If I’m not at work (doing research-y/classwork things), then I’m probably reading. I started this here book blog because I really wanted to try out this blogging craze and reading was the only thing I knew I’d stick with ;-). A couple years later and look, I stuck with it :D. In that time I’ve discovered such an amazing community of fellow book lovers and friends that I can’t imagine blogging without you all! <3

A sketch that Pabkins from Not Yet Read drew for me :D

Disclosure: I do request/receive books from authors and publishers, but all of my reviews are 100% my honest opinion no matter where the book came from. I’m also part of the Amazon Associates program. My reviews have purchase links that I will make a small profit on and I use that money for future giveaways on the blog. I purposefully list strengths and weaknesses for every book I review because no book is perfect or irredeemable.

About guest posts/interviews/etc: I would love to write a guest post for you or have you write one for On Starships and Dragonwings, just drop me a line at  onstarshipsanddragonwings(at)gmail(dot)com!
