Feature & Follow Friday #5 – Movie to Book

Welcome to FFF, hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read! I had a hard time with this week’s question since I don’t watch a lot of movies, but I think I decided on a good one :D.

This week’s question:

Q: Books are turned into movies all the time! Turn it around. What movie would make a great book?

Serenity! Or really anything by Joss Whedon :D. He comes up with such great characters and plots that I really think they would translate wonderfully into standalone books or series (for movies or tv shows respectively).

I love following back and I don’t really care how you follow me, so just let me know :D!

Are you a Whedon fan? I haven’t seen his latest movie since I’m scared of it, but I hear Cabin in the Woods has a lot of sci-fi elements to it as well…. What movie did you choose?

  14. I love Joss Whedon’s stuff too. Did you read Steven Brust’s Firefly fanfiction? I think the title is something like My Own Kind of Country. I have heard it was very good.

    • I haven’t! That sounds like fun :D Joss Whedon also has made some comics that take place after the series and are super fun :D

  15. I agree! Anything that’s got Joss Whedon’s name on it would be golden! :D y FFs are at Musings on Fantasia and LKHill. Happy Friday! :D

  16. Also, I love the name of your blog :D

  17. I’ve heard a lot of mixed things about The Cabin in the Woods, but I haven’t seen it (and it sounds kind of gory, so I don’t think I will). I would read it though! Thanks for hopping by my blog, following you back on Linky!

  18. Oooh good answer, Joss Whedon’s works would definitely make for interesting reads. Fun & exciting all at the same time! Thanks for sharing, here’s my FFF this week.

    • Exactly! Dollhouse would also make a really good book series, I really want to know what some of those characters were thinking!

  19. This is a tough one!!!! I’d actually love to see a series between Firefly and Serenity. There were too many unanswered questions in a complex, believable sci-fi universe.
