Feature & Follow Friday #7 – Be A Character

Welcome to FFF, hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read! Yey! I love this week’s question, since I pretty much want to be in all the books :D.

This week’s question:

Q: Activity! Who do you want to be? If you could choose any character from a book. What do you think that character looks like and what do you have in common?

Dragonriders of Pern

I loved the Dragonriders of Pern books when I was younger, so I would love to be Lessa! I always imagined her with lighter hair than that picture shows, but in any case, she was a tough but caring dragonrider and a strong leader in difficult times! Plus she got to ride dragons :D.

I love following back and I don’t really care how you follow me, so just let me know :D!

  13. That is fun! I have yet to read any of McCaffrey’s Pern books, but to remedy that I had promised (much earlier in the year) to host a group read of Dragonflight in January as part of my Sci Fi Experience. Looking forward to reading it.

    • Oo, that should be fun! If I had a copy I would join in to re-read, but I think I’ll be busy :( But I look forward to seeing what everyone thinks :D

  14. Jessica@a GREAT read says:

OOoh interesting! I haven’t heard of this series, but she sounds awesome!

    Here’s my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower :)

    • They are so wonderful! McCaffrey has passed away now, so there won’t be more (good ones at least in my opinion), but they were a lot of fun if you like dragons :D. Thanks for stopping by! I’m off to check out your post!

  15. I haven’t read these books. It sounds like fun, though. I love books with dragons in them! I’ll have to check them out!

    • There are a lot of them too that you don’t have to read in any particular order, so there is a huge amount of world-building and dragons :D

  16. I love the Dragonriders of Pern books and Lessa! Glad to meet another blogger who reads Anne McCaffrey! :)

    Alice @ Alice in Readerland

    • Yey! I read a lot of Anne McCaffrey when I was younger and still grab any of her older books when I find them in used book stores :D So much fun!

  17. Haven’t read those but, like you, I love anything dragon-ish, so I’ll have to check them out! :D Happy Friday!

    • So much dragon love! Especially since the dragons can talk to their riders telepathically, I fell in love with Pern when I was younger :D

i haven’t heard of this before!

    Trish – My FF

    • Ah, they’re classic sci-fi :D If you like dragons, they are a lot of fun! Thanks for stopping by, off to check out yours!

  19. One of my choices this week is a dragonrider, too– what could be better? I haven’t read the Dragons of Pern, still, but would like to get to them sometime. Great choice.

    Old follower hopping by. :)
