Feature & Follow Friday #8 – Crybaby

Welcome to FFF, hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read!

This week’s question:

Q: What is the last book that made you cry? Tell us about the scene….

Destiny Binds by Tammy BlackwellProbably all of the books that I’ve finished recently made me cry, but the book that is standing out in my mind the strongest is Destiny Binds by Tammy Blackwell.

Wow, what a tear-jerker! I can’t tell you too much about the scene without spoilers, but stuff happens to bring up death. What made me cry is when a little kid starts asking about what happens when people die and being all sad someone that is dead left. Gah! Little kids, they are so adorable in their understanding of the world!

I love following back and I don’t really care how you follow me, so just let me know :D!

  6. I haven’t heard of this before but the little kids… ALL I CAN THINK OF IS FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST AND [spoiler] MAES HUGHES’S DEATH AT THE FUNERAL SCENE WHERE HIS THREE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER SAYS, “STOP. You can’t bury Daddy. He said he has work to do. Mummy, why are they burying Daddy? They have to stop!”[end spoiler]

Sorry about that capsplosion but FMA gives me so many feels.

Haven’t heard of that one. It took some time for me to think of an answer and really it was a little obvious! A few hours later I even remembered another book that had me in a fit of tears, and that one was Nocturne by Syrie James. Beautiful novel, but omg I was bawling at the end!

    Here’s my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower :)

    • They’re great if you like YA urban fantasy :D Yeah, I had to think for a bit to see if anything more recent popped up, and really I probably cried at whatever book I finished most recently, but this one had me absolutely balling! Thanks for stopping by :D Off to check out your post!

  16. I’e heard a lot of good things about Tammy Blackwell’s stuff, sounds like I should definitely check it out!

    Heres my FF –

    • Yes! Especially since she gives review books to any blogger who asks, just email her! Thanks for stopping by :D Off to check out your post!

  17. I’m not sure I can remember the last novel that made me cry. I’m a sentimental sap and “tear up” quite often during reading. I may have done so reading The Freedom Maze earlier this year. The last time I remember having a good ol’ cry fest when reading was during the last 50 or so pages of The Time Traveler’s Wife.

    • Yeah, I’ve heard that one is really emotional. I cry so easily at books! I pretty much have to plan on finishing books at home so that I don’t make a fool of myself in public, haha!
