Mermaid Summer Reading Challenge

Mermaid Summer Reading

That’s right folks, one more reading challenge for me this week! I, like Ms. Hill, have been craving mermaid books like nothing else! I was very excited to see her starting this challenge which includes the list of 21 mermaid books she’s found :D. I probably won’t manage all of them, but these are the mermaid books I’m going to see if I can find:

1. Mirage (sequel to Above World) Review

2. Florence

3. Forbidden Sea (not as good as I hoped) Review

4. The Vicious Deep

5. The Savage Blue (Vicious Deep #2)

6. Of Poseidon (seen mixed reviews, we’ll see how it goes!) Review from GR (will be guest posting at She is Too Fond of Books)

7. Wake

8. Monstrous Beauty

9. Everblue

10. Madly

11. Semester Aboard

12. The Mermaid’s Mirror Review

13. Of Triton

14. River Road (sequel to Royal Street with mermaids :D ) Review

I am aiming for ten five books since it seems like a good number, haha. I’m hoping to find more mermaid book recommendations to switch out any that I don’t end up liking, so if you have a recommendation, I would love to hear it!

Would love it if you checked out Instalment 1 of the mermaid saga ‘The Marked Ones’ now on Kindle. I’m told it’s hard to sleep until the story is finished! Just be warned-it gets a bit sexy ;)

  2. What a FUN challenge! I liked Of Poseidon, Monstrous Beauty and Madly, though they are all so so different. And Madly veers in a more romance direction in the later novels.

  3. I want to read Monstrous Beauty and the Vicious Deep book. I read Of Poseidon and really enjoyed it, and Of Triton as well. Did you read Lies Beneath? Stay far away from Wrecked…it was a wreck haha.

    • Haha, I haven’t read Lies Beneath, I’ll add it to the list! Thanks for the advice though, I’ll keep that in mind :D

  4. I do love a good mermaid book. Even though I have yet to find one. I’m excited to read your reviews! I hope you land an awesome book!

  5. I enjoyed Monstrous Beauty but it is a dark story in some ways! :)

  6. LOVE the challenge! I can’t wait to see your reviews on some of these. Some mermaid books that I would recommend to you would have to be Sea Change by Aimee Friedman and Seven Tears Into The Sea by Terri Farley :)

  7. I don’t think I’ve read a mermaid book, and if I wasn’t so snowed under with uni assignments I would join in. Oh well.
If you don’t already have Everblue, it is free on Amazon at the moment: Everblue
Good luck finding, and reading as many as you can! Have fun!

    • Right?? There are surprisingly few I’d have to say from collecting all of them that I could find, haha. Yes, I did find Everblue on Amazon, thanks!

  1. […] read The Mermaid’s Mirror by L.K. Madigan as part of the Mermaid Summer Reading Challenge, since who doesn’t want to read more mermaid books, right?? :D I actually managed to read it […]
