Spoils and Tribute

Spoils and Tribute

Spoils and Tribute is a feature of On Starships and Dragonwings where I tell you about the books I’ve bought and received recently. I promise that I paid for all my spoils and I’m not letting the “tribute” go to my head ;-). Spoils and Tribute was inspired by Stacking the Shelves.

I went on a bit of a NetGalley spree recently >.>. I hate when I do that, but I also love it. I’ve been really good about not buying too much though :D except textbooks….

Tribute

Spoils and Tribute: Relativity Spoils and Tribute: Seven Forges The Grim Company by Luke Scull Alienated

Alienated, Relativity and Seven Forges are on NetGalley :D. The Grim Company is from Penguin (thanks!) and came out earlier this month so I have a pretty finished copy to read. And I’m so excited! I’ve got a nice combo of high fantasy and sci-fi to entertain me ;-). Though it’s going to be a little hard to make two of the pub dates *sigh* Now I must read-a-thon I guess :D.

Spoils

Spoils and Tribute: Red Seas Under Red Skies Spoils and Tribute: Linked IMG_1242

I had to get the next Gentleman Bastards book to listen to, Michael Page is so awesome :D. I could listen to that voice for hours, and then I do! I also traded for Linked and it just came in the mail, yey! It’s such a nice effect on the dust jacket, I like to pet it. Also there are my textbooks for the semester, in case you were wondering what I’m taking ;-). If I suddenly disappear, blame it on the stats books *sigh*.

What have you gotten recently?

  1. We have such similar reading tastes we must be soul mates. I have all of your tribute books except Relativity. Do you think I should snatch that from Netgalley?

  2. Oh! LINKED! I been keeping an eye out for that one!

  3. Although it signifies back to school, I always used to love getting my new texts for the year when I was studying! Hope you manage to get some reading for pleasure done as well as for learning though.

Here’s my round-up of the week.

  4. I’ll be starting the not-so-audiobook version of “Red Seas Under Red Skies” tomorrow. I’m really excited about reading it; I loved “The Lies of Locke Lamora.”

And I want to make time for “Seven Forges” soon, too. Hope you enjoy it as much as I hope I will!

  5. I have Relativity too. I hope it’s as good as it sounds. Happy reading!

  6. Ooh pretty. Alienated and Relativity look cool. I try not to go on NetGalley too much, it’s hard not to resist all the books there! Especially when there are due dates for when to post reviews. Enjoy all your new loot!

  7. I got Alienated this week, as well! I am SUPER excited for this book so it made my day to be approved! I also have Relativity but I haven’t had the chance to read it yet (hopefully soon). Enjoy your books!

    Here’s my haul

  8. I received Alienated this month, really looking forward to it.
