Stacking the Shelves #14

Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga! I’ve started getting the book presents for other people this week, which I’m totally counting since I’ll probably borrow them in the future anyway, haha. I also got my first book from Paperback Swap, which was very exciting ;-).

For Review:

Magick by Trish Milburn

I was pumped to see Magick, the third in the Coven series, on Netgalley last week! I’ve read the first two books and really enjoyed them, so it’s going to be great to get to find out how things end :D. If you like YA urban fantasy, I highly recommend checking out the Coven series by Trish Milburn.

Libriomancer by Jim C. Hines Tales of the Slayer

So I’ve started getting presents for people, and the first one was Libriomancer by Jim C. Hines. This is a book that both my friend and I have been wanting to read for long while, so it was perfect for me to get for her, since then I’ll be able to borrow it too :D. Best part: it’s signed by the author :D. She’s going to love it!!!! Also, I got my first book from Paperback Swap, so I didn’t actually buy it, but I used a credit to get it, so it’s kind of like buying ;-). I loved the Buffy television show, so this collection of short stories about different slayers looks like so much fun!

Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver Venom by Jennifer Estep

I also got library books :D. I finished Delirium recently, so I was excited to grab Pandemonium from the library as soon as I dropped off the first book, always good when that happens right?? I also had requested the third Elemental Assassins book a while ago and it finally showed up! So now Venom is languishing on my shelf and I’m still behind on the read along, *sigh*.

On another note, I found out that I can request that the library buy new releases that they don’t have, so I requested that they get the audiobook of Days of Blood and Starlight, since the narration is marvelous :D. I’m excited and hopeful that it’ll come soon-ish!

What did you get this week?? Also let me know if you are a new follower and I’ll follow you back :D

Remember to subscribe for reviews of awesome books!

  2. Nice! I’ve found the Buffy novels to be hit-or-miss, so I hope that’s one of the hits. I’ve heard good things about Libromancer, and have it on my TBR shelf.

    Here’s my bookshelf additions.

    • I figured I was taking a chance with a television show-based book, but it could be fun ;-) Thanks for stopping by! Off to check out your list :D

  3. I haven’t read the Delirium seriest yet but I really want to change that soon! I loved Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver though, so hopefully I’ll love this series too. I hope you’ll enjoy reading these books!

Nice book haul… enjoy your reading.
And thanks for stopping by my blog and following. It’s always great to discover another reader who reads adult fantasy not only ya. :D

  6. I heard Libriomancer is nice if you like Jim Butcher book so I am so looking forward to it :D others look like great picks as well. Thank you for visiting my STS. Following you back :)

  7. I haven’t heard of the Coven series before. Bu YA Urban Fantasy? YES PLEASE.

I’ve also been meaning to read Delirium one day but haven’t… So many books, so little time.

I hope you enjoy all your books!

    Here’s my StS post.

    • Haha, I know that problem! I keep remembering books that I’ve been meaning to read and have been sitting for too long… oops… Can I get one of those time-turner thingies please?? Coven is wonderful! I really like that it’s about witches too, instead of vamps and werewolves ;-)

Thanks for stopping by! Off to check out yours :D

  9. Enjoy Pandemonium! I really enjoyed Delirium and I really have to get to the sequel. Thanks for stopping by Tynga’s Review!

  10. typingtiara says:

I hope your library gets Days of Blood and Starlight in soon! It was such a beautiful, heart-wrenching read.

I read Delirium, early this year I think or maybe last year…I can’t quite remember but I haven’t picked up the sequel quite yet. Can’t wait to hear what you think! Well…read what you think anyway. xD

    • Haha, so far I’m liking Pandemonium was more than Delirium, so maybe you should pick it up :D

      • typingtiara says:

Really? In that case I’ll add it to the list, maybe I’ll check my library when finals are over. I liked Delirium but didn’t quite love it, so maybe the sequel will win me over completely. :]

        • I liked where Lena was in Pandemonium much more than Delirium, she becomes a stronger character and it’s just a more interesting book in my opinion :)

  11. annettesbookspot says:

Hope you enjoy Pandemonium, I really did. I’m not familiar with the other books, but I have Days of Blood and Starlight on my list. I listened to the audio of the first book and thought it was great, but I’m going to read the second because I can’t WAIT to find out what happens (audio takes me too long.) I’m an old follower. My STS

    • Haha, I know that problem! I just can’t bring myself to pass up listening to that awesome narration :D. Thanks for stopping by! I’m off to check out your post

  12. Jessica@a GREAT read says:

OOoh nice! Loved Buffy, but I could never really get into the books themselves. I guess because I was late to the Buffy scene and by then I already had books I was reading.

Still, very nice haul!! Happy Reading!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by!

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower :)

    • I guess I’m getting Buffy starved and instead of re-watching the show (again) I want to read some new stories, haha! Thanks for stopping by :D
