Stacking the Shelves #16

Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga! I love the holidays because I love buying books for my friends just as much as getting books for myself ;-). So in addition to the books that I got and am keeping, I’m including the books I got to give as gifts, since it’s just so much fun to give books to friends :D.

Gifts for Others:

Fire by Kristin Cashore Ready Player One

So I’ve already read Fire, but my bookmark making friend hasn’t, and so I knew I had to fix that! I got her Graceling for her birthday, so Fire seemed like the perfect next book ;-). She’s weird in that she prefers paperback books, otherwise I would have skipped to Bitterblue so we could both read it, haha. But I’m excited for her to get read the awesome story of Fire! I’m also super excited to get to give Angelya Ready Player One, since it was on her wishlist, and she was the book blogger that got me started book blogging :D.

Gifts for Me:

Seraphina Goblin Quest Goblin War

I also got some books this week ;-). Angelya was wonderful and saw that Seraphina was on my TTT list a couple weeks ago, and so sent me a copy!! I’m so pumped to get to read this one, it’s been on my TBR list for so long :D. I also was lucky enough to receive SIGNED copies of two of Jim C. Hines Jig the Goblin books from one of my awesome friends. Apparently she spent half an hour in the bookstore going through copies to find the third book in a signed copy ;-). She’s just that awesome :D.

What did you get this week?? Also let me know if you are a new follower and I’ll follow you back :D

  1. Hooray! Thanks so much :) I hope you enjoy Seraphina!

  2. Fire and Ready Player One are both great book. I hope your friends will like them too. :) Yay for Seraphina. I’m sure you’ll like it – it has dragons after all. :D I like the sound of Jim C. Hines Goblin books. I’m adding them to my tbr. I hope I will have time to buy them and read them soon. Great haul I hope you enjoy them all!

    Happy holidays!

  4. Love your gifts to others, great choices! I featured you this week as a blog I think it worth reading :)

  5. I’m glad you have away Fire to your friend! It’s definitely a book, if you love Graceling already, to check out! Though, I thought Bitterblue would be just as amazing as the other two, it didn’t come out to I like, but please recommend her to check out that one afterwards. ^^

Also, Seraphina is definitely a book I want to see what others think about it because it sounds like such an amazing book to read! Have an enjoyable time reading them! ^^

  6. I agree with Shelver – glad you didn’t skip Fire because it’s amazing – I actually liked it better than Bitterblue.

    • Fire is totally amazing! I hope that Bitterblue is still good though ;-) It sounds like a lot of people didn’t like it quite as much as the first two unfortunately :(

  7. I’m glad you didn’t skip to BITTERBLUE. It wouldn’t have made sense without FIRE.

    • Good to know! I just finished Graceling, so it seemed like that was most important for Bitterblue (for obvious reasons, haha), but now I’m excited to see how Fire is involved!

  8. Jessica@a GREAT read says:
