Top Ten Books on Your Fall TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Check out the upcoming topics to start posting!

This weeks Top Ten Tuesday is Top Ten Books on Your Fall TBR and oh my there are way more than ten. Do review copies count? I’m going to say yes, since that is probably what my Fall is going to consist of…. Yey! Oh and this is not the actual order that I will read these, just the order that I found them laying about.

  1. The Waking Dream by Jennifer Ford – This is the review book that I’m currently working on and since the school year starts this coming week for me, I consider it a fall TBR ;-). I would show you a pretty picture, but it’s not on Goodreads yet :(
  2. Ash: Return of the Beast by Gary Tenuta – Another review book :). This one is an occult mystery! A little different than my normal fair, but Gary wrote such a nice request email that I just couldn’t say no.
  3. Second Skin, Too by Peter Darrach – I really enjoyed Second Skin when I received it for review earlier in the year and was really happy to be asked to review the sequel as well!
  4. Wothlondia Rising by Gary Vanucci – I was delighted to meet Gary Vanucci at GenCon this year and when he sent me his books to review, I got really excited to relive my tabletop gaming days by reading about adventurers from those worlds!
  5. There Comes a Prophet by David Litwack – Between the beautiful cover and the interesting classic sci-fi premise, I’m very excited to give this one a read.
  6. Elantris by Brandon Sanderson – Once I catch up on review copies, I am definitely going to be reading Elantris, since it is so heavily recommended by Sanderson fans and I looooove Sanderson!
  7. The Mermaid’s Madness by Jim C. Hines – I read the first of the Princess series just a few weeks again and am super excited to continue with this series.
  8. Carl Sagan: A Life in the Cosmos by William Poundstone – I was reading some non-fiction recently and became interested in the life of Carl Sagan who was a very good scientist and also a very good communicator. Because he did so much for the public’s understanding of science, I am hoping to glean some inspiration from his biography :).
  9. Divergent by Veronica Roth – Yes yes yes, I still haven’t read Divergent, I know, I’m horrible. I own it though!
  10. Brisingr by Christopher Paolini – My wonderful boyfriend got me the deluxe edition of this book for my birthday (in February) and I keep getting delayed, but I’m determined to read it before my birthday comes around again, ha!

Well that was fun! I think I might actually use this in the coming months to remember what to read >.>. Link me to your Top Ten Tuesday post please :D.

  1. Divergent is fantastic. Hope you get to all these during Fall :-)

    • Me too! I started Divergent on a long car trip, but because it was one of the few books that I owned, it took a back seat when there were library books and review books from authors to read :( I wanna read the no stress books soon!

  2. My own list should have been mostly made up of review copies but I cheated and only a couple of the must-read review books made it on to the list. The rest are all of the amazing novels that are coming out in the fall that I’m super excited for. :]

On your own list, Elantris looks really tempting and I’ve never read that author before. So does The Mermaid’s Madness, might have to add both of those to my goodreads for later reading.

    • Haha, I know the feeling, but I wanted to reassure the authors that I really will be reading them soon! You should definitely check out any Brandon Sanderson if you get the chance, he rocks!

  3. My fall list will also largely consist of review copies.

Elantris is lovely, and it’s always nice to see an epic fantasy standalone. I’m very excited to see what Sanderson’s two shorter books that are coming out this fall are like.

    • How did I not know you had a blog until I googled you? ;-) It looks pretty! Also I love that the first half of your books I gave you, haha! Let me know what you think of that Patricia Briggs series, always love her!
