Top Ten Books I Would Love To See As A Movie

Top Ten Tuesday

Thanks to the gals of The Broke and The Bookish for hosting this meme every week!

I tend not to watch movies that often, but I would totally get a Tuesday $5 ticket to see any of these :D Maybe even opening night ;-). Yeah, I’m cheap, hehe. I was thinking of having a third category for all the characters that I love, but Iko is more real to me than a movie could ever make her D: <3.

Show me the magic!

The Lies of Locke Lamora The Sweetest Dark Siege and Storm Magic Rises The Rithmatist

Modern day filmmaking has awesome special effects at least! I would love to see the alchemy of Locke Lamora’s world, the star magic of Sweetest Dark, the Grisha’s magic, the awesome critters in Magic Rises, and of course the Rithmatism :D. Though I think I would have to hide when any of the bad guys showed up in any of these *gets a blankie*.

Location, location, location!

The Bitter Kingdom Searching for Dragons Above World Scarlet Days of Blood and Starlight

Omg, other awesome thing about movies: they bring our favorite worlds to life :D. I want to see all the countries of Bitter Kingdom, the Enchanted Forest, the ocean village and deserts of Above World, Cinder and Scarlet’s homes, and of course Prague and Eretz!

Wouldn’t that be an awesome season of movies?? Why is this not a thing yet???? Link me up your lists!

  1. Stellar list – Taylor’s books NEED to be movies!

  2. I love the way you divided up your list. The world of the Lunar Chronicles would be so cool on a big movie screen. I haven’t read too many of these, but I am adding them to my wishlist. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Jenn @ A Glo-Worm Reads says:

I have only read The Lunar Chronicles and Laini Taylor’s books from your list, but I agree.. BOTH or those would be amazing!

  4. Yes to The Lunar Chronicles! I forgot those books on my list, but they’d be brilliant as films.

    Here’s my list.

  5. I can’t believe I forgot about The Enchanted Forest books! I’d pay over and over to see those in theaters. I’m currently reading Daughter of Smoke and Bones, and I’m liking it so far–and wouldn’t mind seeing it in theaters. I have a feeling once I get to the second book, that want for a movie will only be bigger.

    • I would totally buy multiple copies of those dvds because I know I would wear one out >.> Thanks for stopping by, sorry I’m late D:

Daughter of Smoke & Bones is coming to the big screen soon too so I’m sure book 2 will follow. I agree about the location and exotic feel of that series, Karou’s blue hair alone would be worth the movie ticket.

    My Top 10

  7. Some great books listed there.. Siege and Storm is on my current reading list!

I can’t believe I forgot The Lies of Locke Lamora, it would make an excellent movie or television series. The dialogue alone, lol.

    Great list! :) My TTT

  9. Great picks! Haven’t read them all, but know enough about them to know that you’re right–they’d make great films. I’d especially love to see the Laini Taylor series on screen! :D

  10. The Lies of Locke Lamora would have an AWESOME movie! I just finished reading the book and would love to see a good movie team do it justice.
