Tower of Thorns Giveaway!

Book Giveaway

Tower of Thorns by Juliet Marillier

This book probably needs very little introduction, but last year I read and loved Dreamer’s Pool so I’m very excited to be able to give one of you the sequel that comes out tomorrow :D. If you are a fan of high fantasy, you must check out this series, it is so so wonderful!!!

Tower of Thorns

Award-winning author Juliet Marillier’s “lavishly detailed”* Blackthorn & Grim series continues as a mysterious creature holds an enchanted and imperiled ancient Ireland in thrall.

Disillusioned healer Blackthorn and her companion, Grim, have settled in Dalriada to wait out the seven years of Blackthorn’s bond to her fey mentor, hoping to avoid any dire challenges. But trouble has a way of seeking out Blackthorn and Grim.

Lady Geiléis, a noblewoman from the northern border, has asked for the prince of Dalriada’s help in expelling a howling creature from an old tower on her land—one surrounded by an impenetrable hedge of thorns. Casting a blight over the entire district, and impossible to drive out by ordinary means, it threatens both the safety and the sanity of all who live nearby. With no ready solutions to offer, the prince consults Blackthorn and Grim.

As Blackthorn and Grim begin to put the pieces of this puzzle together, it’s apparent that a powerful adversary is working behind the scenes. Their quest is about to become a life and death struggle—a conflict in which even the closest of friends can find themselves on opposite sides.

This giveaway is open to US addresses only as per Penguin’s policies. The winner will have 48 hours to respond to my email and I’ll be checking entries so please be sure to put in the correct information.

  1. Oh. Em. Gee. I am sitting here just writhing with impatience for Dreamer’s Pool to arrive. I love Juliet Marillier’s Sevenwater’s Series and then never got around to starting her Blackthorn & Grim series. Bad me! Well, back to waiting around impatiently for my copy to arrive…haha

  2. I thought Tower of Thorns was even BETTER than Dreamer’s Pool! You’ll absolutely LOVE it. I like the slight fairy tale reimagining thing Juliet Marillier kept as a running theme. Dreamer’s Pool ending made me pout a little bit because I thought the ‘villain’ had an inordinately harsh punishment butttt Tower of Thorn is nothing but wonderfulness <3

    • YEY! I’m about half way through the audiobook and definitely liking this story at least as much as Dreamer’s Pool

  3. SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK. And my library has even ordered it already. The Dreamer’s Pool was only a 4-star read for me, because I didn’t enjoy Oran’s story as much, so I’m hoping this will be a 5-star. I hate rating anything Juliet Marillier writes less than 5 stars, haha. (Although her YA fantasies really aren’t as good.) Thanks for the giveaway!

    • Wooooot! Yeah, Oran’s story was definitely the weak part, and on the audio his narration was the weaker of the three as well. But I’m so excited to see what shenanigans they get up to next :D

  4. OK. I haven’t read Dreamer’s Pool yet. BUT. I read Daughter of the Forest earlier this year and loved it, so I have every intention of reading the rest of Juliet Marillier’s work, including Dreamer’s Pool and Tower of Thorns. Consider me IN. :D
