Updates from the Lair 10/9/16

Updates from the Lair

Updates from the Lair is my weekly wrap-up post that includes what happened in my real life, what I’ve been reading, my posts from the week, and what I’m thinking about reading next week (and would love your advice on!).

Hello dragonlings! How are you doing on this lovely Sunday? It is starting to definitely feel like fall around here and I lurrrrrrrrve it! The sugar maples are changing first, as usual, and wow, it looks like they are on fire, so cool.

I feel like including a Pokemon Go update occasionally since that’s my other thing these days: I caught a Scyther for the first time last weekend! And I got enough candy to evolve a Rhydon :D. My new buddy is now Magnemite and he’s a cutie just hovering there :).

My Week

I just moments ago finished Crooked Kingdom! I of course love this world and characters and found a lot more reading time the past two weeks than I had been for some strange reason ;-). I have feelings about the ending though if anyone wants to talk spoilers privately!

I decided to go with Gemina as my next audiobook and it is interesting I must say. There are a lot of sound effects to mimc the text effects and I like it. It’s definitely a different experience from reading the physical book, but still quite different from a typical audiobook.

And in case you missed it, these were my posts this week:

Next Week’s Reading

(books up next on the reading list, thoughts?)

I feel like I’m in the middle of too many things right now, so I’m planning on continuing to read Hunted and hopefully actually make progress now that I’m not binging Crooked Kingdom. I also will be hoping to finish Magician’s Key since I was a few pages in when I started on Crooked Kingdom, oops!

Happy Reading!

  1. I preordered “The Crooked Kingdom” and then realized that I have a bazillion weddings to go to in October that have eaten all my free time. I am eagerly awaiting free weekends so I can sit down and binge-read it in one sitting. Six of Crows was so so so very good!

  2. LOVING Fall too! The sweater weather, the cooler nights, the leaves changing colours…ALL OF IT ♥ Favorite time of the year :D I can’t wait to see how you’ll end up liking GEMINA once you’ve finished it! Happy reading ^^ xx

  3. Unfortunately, I can’t get my husband into Pokemon Go and so between work and enjoying spending time with him now that we’re in the same place, I don’t think I’ve played in almost a month. I’d like to get back to it though!
