Waiting on… Breath of Fire by Amanda Bouchet

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine!

Adorable dragons are necessary for everything, but this one is keeping her eye out for more awesome books :D

“Cat” Catalia Fisa has been running from her destiny since she could crawl. But now, her newfound loved ones are caught between the shadow of Cat’s tortured past and the threat of her world-shattering future. So what’s a girl to do when she knows it’s her fate to be the harbinger of doom? Everything in her power.

Griffin knows Cat is destined to change the world-for the better. As the realms are descending into all-out war, Cat and Griffin must embrace their fate together. Gods willing, they will emerge side-by-side in the heart of their future kingdom…or not at all.

Confession: I haven’t actually read the first book of this series *gasp* but now I’m very much convinced that I need to fix that! For the last many years I’ve avoided anything with the label romance since I assumed I wouldn’t like it. I’m realizing now that I probably got that impression from badly-done romance storylines in mediocre books and that I think I actually like romance when it is done well. Therefore, I’m working on fixing that, and I think this series is a great one to start with given how many trusted sources have loved it :D.

What are you excited about?

  4. I usually avoid “romance” novels like the plague as well, but if you like it, I might give it a go.
