What Do You Want to Ask the Fierce Reads Authors?

Fierce Reads Author Tour

What Do You Want to Ask These Fierce Authors?

I’m very excited to tell you guys that I’m going to be the dedicated blogger for the Fierce Reads stop in Okemos, MI! That means that I’ll be able to talk with Leigh Bardugo (RUIN AND RISING),  Ava Dellaira (LOVE LETTERS TO THE DEAD),  Jennifer Mathieu (THE TRUTH ABOUT ALICE) and Emmy Laybourne (MONUMENT 14) before the event and ask them all the questions :D. However, I’m terrified of coming up with interview questions, so I thought it would be fun for you to get your questions answered in addition to whatever I can come up with ;-).

So, what would you like to ask any of the four Fierce Reads authors that will be at the event? I’ll ask as many of them as I can and of course not anything too crazy since I’ll probably already be fangirling a bit as it is >.>. Comment or email me if you want to be secretive!

Also, Macmillan has offered a copy of each of the four books for a giveaway and I’ll be making sure to get them signed at the event :D. Next week I’ll open the giveaway for the signed books and submitting a question before June 23rd gets you an extra entry, so write down those questions in the comments!

Is the Fierce Reads tour coming to town anywhere near you? Have you been to a Fierce Reads tour before? What do you want to know?!

  1. You are so lucky! I had to work when they came to Seattle :(

I would ask them, what their favorite book from their childhood was.

  2. You know really argh I got nothing. Have you noticed I haven’t done any interviews in awhile? My creative juices are feeling low low low LOL

  3. Dragana says:

Something they are embarrassed to admit as fantasy fan / ya author / famous writer? Maybe they never watched some famous movie, or read some popular book, maybe they write with pen on paper or they wear their socks outside out for important events…

  4. Shannon @ The Book in Question says:

I have the silly habit of asking band members what genres of books they like, so I’m going to turn the question around and see if you can ask the authors about their favorite musical genre/band! :D

  5. That’s so cool that you’re going to be able to do a short interview with them! My question is… What’s a recent YA book they absolutely loved?

  6. That’s so amazing! Congrats!! I wish I had time to shoot out there to attend. :(

I think it would be really interesting if you could find out how they came up with their respective stories. Sort of like Stephanie Meyer (I know…) has always said Twilight started out with a dream of the meadow scene. I’m curious because sometimes somebody tells me a story or I have a crazy dream and I just think “wow, that would be a great book…” Something like that, the first spark of the story!

  7. I’d probably want to know what their favorite “geeky” influences and/or hobbies are. I remember Marissa Meyer talking about how she was a huge Firefly fan and then she started listing off all these other sci-fi TV shows and how she was a dorky teenager, but they helped fuel her imagination for the Lunar Chronicles, and it was funny and fun. :)
