WWW Wednesday #25

WWW Wednesday

Woot, I was productive! Well, by productive, I mean with real life and with writing reviews, but still :D.

What did you recently finish reading?

Web of Lies by Jennifer Estep

I only finished Web of Lies this week, since I pushed hard to finish in time to return it to the library. I still ended up renewing it so that I could write the review, but oh well :D. Now I’ve got my request for the next one in, so we’ll see how long that takes to get here *sigh*.

What are you currently reading?

Delirium by Lauren Oliver Heart of the Dragon's Realm Veil by Aaron Overfield

I’m about 2/3 through Delirium and wow is it getting fast-paced, shit is about to go down! Like, seriously, the things that are happening are such a bad idea!!! But anyway, Heart of the Dragon’s Realm is freaking FANTASTIC!!! It’s one of those fantasy stories that are fairly happy and up-beat and the tension is mostly through exploration and discovery instead of aw bad stuff! It’s really refreshing :D. I want to get to the part with the dragon though, haha! I’ve also started Veil by Aaron Overfield, which is a review book I received a bit ago. This book is freaking huge (604 pages, not pocketbook!), but it’s started off super exciting and I’m very hopeful for this sci-fi. If you have a chance to review this one, I would recommend it, the writing is compelling and the characters have already pulled me in :D.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Entangled by Nikki Jefford Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver

So I thought I needed to read a book for a blog tour in December, but it turns out I have a guest post for that instead (brain, it works sometimes….), which is fortunate, because Veil is going to take a few weeks to finish ;-). But I’m buzzing through the other two, so Entangled and Pandemonium are still up to bat when I finish my current Kindle and audiobooks!

What are you reading this week? Have you read any of these books?

  1. I am curious about your Delirium review! I have read mixed reviews of that book!

    • I can see why there are mixed reviews, it could definitely rub some people the wrong way, but so far I’m enjoying it over all :D

  2. Oh, what awesome picks this week. Love them all. I have Entangled TBR and love Lauren Oliver. Jennifer Estep is great too, love her Mythos Academy series. Please come by and check out TurnersAnticsWWW

  3. Livvy @Nerdy Book Reviews says:

Wow. Veil sounds really long, but I do adore the cover. I think I need to get my hands on a copy despite the size since it sounds like my book.

I have Entangled too and I’ve heard good things! :)

    • Yup, I’m just hunkering down and going for it, since I’m really enjoying it so far :D And that cover is gorgeous!! Definitely track down Aaron Overfield, it seems likely that he is looking for more people to do reviews!

  4. I was productive too for a change! I got quite a few books read and reviewed. Though not nearly as many “review” books as I had hoped to get through. And judging by my own currently reading pile its going to be awhile before I do get caught up. Oh well, at least I’m enjoying it.

    My WWW Wednesday

    • What is this “caught up” concept ;-) Enjoyment is totally the goal though! I decided that since it was a holiday here in the states, I could read a fun book this week instead of a review book :D Off to check out your post, sorry I’m so late this week D:

  5. Woot look at you go! I’ll be looking out for your review of Web of Lies and I hope the next one arrives for you soon! I’m also curious about your thoughts on Delirium…thinking about starting that one in a few reads…and I’m thrilled you’re still loving Heart of the Dragon’s Realm :D

    • I’m really liking Delirium, though it’s a fairly typical YA dystopian, so if you are getting tired of the genre, this one would probably be just more of the same ;-)
